Julia Jakobsen

Julia Jakobsen, 21, is a singer, songwriter and a child of the world. She lived in 7 countries before coming to Cape Town, and is originally from Denmark. She started out as a backing singer for bands like JacSharp and James Stewart – her first gig was at 16, opening with Stewart at a sold-out Kirstenbosch for Ronan Keating – before stepping out on her own. Her music is a fresh blend of folk, pop and catchy rock, her songs are honest, and her band is definitely one to watch out for.
